8,500,000 DIGITAL LOG CURVES NOW AVAILABLE
CALGARY, ALBERTA. (April 24, 2008) – LogTech (Canada) Ltd., a leading provider of software and data solutions to the petroleum industry, announced today that the size of its Canadian digital log database has increased to 8.5 million curves.Here we go again! LogTech continues to deliver on its commitment to build the largest and highest quality Canadian digital log database. In just the past 10 weeks our team has added another 500,000 high quality curves now available for your immediate use from LOGarc on-line.
Today, more than 8,500,000 curves are instantly available to you on-line from LogTech. Far more than government sourced data, LogTech’s database contains thousands of wells, and hundreds of thousands – if not millions – of curves not available elsewhere.
And much more data is on its way. Thousands of new wells are currently being validated for loading to LOGarc on-line in the coming weeks. This data combined with the new data we acquire on an ongoing basis means that more than 9,000,000 digital log curves will soon be made available to you. We’ll keep you posted on our progress!
Highest Quality Database. LogTech's database is 100% wellsite-derived, having full logging suites with an average of over 50 curves per well. These include curves from main logging runs, repeat sections, and high resolution and TVD data as produced by logging companies.
This means that LogTech's database is devoid of issues that other vendor databases suffer from as a result of being built over the past 40 years to suit individual customer needs, budgets and technical limitations. Our database is not restricted by curve coverage heavily skewed to geophysical application. Nor is it hindered by data not usable by all disciplines because of low data sampling rates or inconsistent digitizing quality. LogTech's database has no interval-only curve coverage, no partial curve suites, no minimum header data and no low sample rate data.
