MAJOR LOG DATA MANAGEMENT CONTRACT AWARDED TO LOGTECH
CALGARY, ALBERTA. (April 17, 2008) – LogTech (Canada) Ltd., a leading provider of software and data solutions to the petroleum industry, announced today that it has been awarded a major log data management contract.This most recent success by LogTech is a mutli-year contract to collect, validate and prepare significant amounts of proprietary and confidential LAS data for on-site management and access by this customer from LogTech's LOGarc data management application. As part of this arrangement the customer has also licensed Visual Explorer, a newly-released module of LOGarc enabling instant visualization of logs directly from LOGarc databases without the requirement to retrieve the data. The new Visual Explorer module redefines the process of using digital log data by giving petroleum explorationists instant and unparalleled insight into LOGarc databases, both public and proprietary, while significantly saving time over traditional workflows.
We are told that a major factor in LogTech's success in being awarded this contract is the experience of its people, some of whom have been working with digital log data for over 40 years. As well, the widespread acceptance in the U.S. and Canada of LOGarc as a digital and raster data management and access tool was a key deciding factor.
